At WIRO, we don’t just build Shopify stores; we engineer high-performance eCommerce experiences that fuel brand growth. We are looking for an experienced UX Researcher to be the strategic engine behind our clients' success.

Your mission is to bridge the gap between user behaviour and business ROI. You will move beyond "best practices" to uncover deep, data-backed insights that define the roadmaps for our design and development teams. If you are obsessed with human behaviour, market trends, and interpreting complex data into actionable growth strategies, you’ll fit right in.

Why are we hiring?

WIRO is a results-driven agency specialising in Shopify Plus for ambitious DTC brands. We have delivered hundreds of sites, but as we scale, we want to "up our game" in how we inform our Growth Retainers. We need a specialist who can "get under the hood" of a client’s store, using research to ensure every design change is validated, future-proofed, and designed to move the needle on AOV, LTV, and Conversion.

What you will be doing

  • Strategic Auditing: Conduct deep-dive UX and behavioural audits for new and existing clients, identifying friction points and opportunities for rapid growth.
  • Data Interpretation: Analyse quantitative data (GA4, Shopify Analytics) and qualitative insights (Hotjar, user recordings) to build a clear picture of the "why" behind the "what."
  • User Testing & Discovery: Plan and execute various research methods including moderated/unmoderated usability testing, card sorting, and tree testing to validate navigation and site architecture.
  • Roadmap Influence: Collaborate with our CX Designers and CRO Strategists to translate research findings into high-yield roadmaps, wireframe concepts, and A/B test hypotheses.
  • Market & Behavioral Research: Stay ahead of eCommerce trends and market changes to advise clients on how to remain competitive and innovative.
  • Personas & Journey Mapping: Create evidence-based customer journey maps and personas to help our team and clients visualize actor scenarios and emotional triggers.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present complex research findings to clients and senior leadership in a clear, persuasive, and jargon-free manner.

What experience you’ll bring

  • Ecommerce Expertise: 3+ years specifically within the eCommerce sector (ideally within an agency environment).
  • UX Research Mastery: 4+ years of experience in UX/User Research, with a proven track record of influencing design through data.
  • Shopify Familiarity (Or similar platform): A solid understanding of the Shopify/Shopify Plus ecosystem and its native analytical capabilities.
  • Data Proficiency: Highly skilled in GA4, Looker Studio, Hotjar/Microsoft Clarity, and usability testing platforms (e.g., Maze, UserTesting).
  • Strategic Mindset: The ability to work autonomously and suggest "quick wins" that deliver immediate ROI while planning for long-term CX excellence.
  • Collaboration: Experience working in Agile-style teams, acting as the "voice of the user" for developers and UI designers.
