At WIRO, we are a data-led agency that believes design is only as good as the revenue it generates. We are seeking a CRO Specialist to lead our experimentation strategy. This is not a passive reporting role; you will be the driving force behind our "Growth Retainers," using A/B testing to prove what works and strategically allocating client budgets based on winning variants.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of optimising our clients' ecommerce customer experience (CX) by managing, testing, and implementing key conversion points. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire end-to-end Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) process, which includes a blend of strategic planning and hands-on execution across A/B testing and data analysis.
Why Are We Hiring?
Our Design and Strategy team is expanding, and we are moving beyond standard UX to a high-performance experimentation model. We need a specialist who can own the entire A/B testing lifecycle from hypothesis to execution and post-test analysis. You will report to our CX Design Lead and be the bridge between raw data and live site performance.
Responsibilities
- A/B Test Management: Primary owner of the testing roadmap. Set up, launch, and monitor split tests using tools like VWO, AB Tasty, Visually, or Shoplift.
- Hypothesis Generation: Turn qualitative and quantitative insights into prioritized testing backlogs (ICE/PIE scoring).
- Performance Monitoring: Routinely monitor key eCommerce metrics (CR, AOV, RPV) and market trends for client accounts.
- Data Visualization: Set up and manage Looker Studio reports to clearly communicate test results and site health.
- Tracking Oversight: Configure Google Events and GTM to ensure every click, scroll, and conversion is captured accurately for your tests.
- User Behaviour Analysis: Use Hotjar/Clarity to identify where users are dropping off and validate why a test succeeded or failed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our CX Designers to turn winning experiments into permanent site features.
Requirements
- Testing Mastery: 2+ years of hands-on experience running A/B tests in tools like VWO, Shoplift, or AB Tasty. You must understand statistical significance and confidence levels.
- eCommerce Background: Deep familiarity with Shopify/Shopify Plus and how its native checkout and themes interact with testing scripts.
- Technical Literacy: Proficient with GA4, Looker Studio, and GTM. You should be comfortable auditing a data layer to ensure your tests are tracking correctly.
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to look at a Shopify store and identify 3-5 immediate testing opportunities that will impact ROI.
- Location: Based in the UK or Europe and comfortable in a client-facing role.
- Communication: Able to explain "The Why" behind a losing test just as clearly as a winning one.
